Time Killer Trivia Answer

Time Killer Trivia

Every morning on the way to work, M and I listen to the morning show on the radio. At 6:40, they have Time Killer Trivia. Glennboy poses a trivia question and you call in and try to give the correct answer. They are mostly really off the wall questions. This was today's trivia question:

In the past 30 years, 42 houses have been hit by _________________________.

I want to see if anyone can guess this. They actually had someone call in afterwards and tell them that they were one of the 42. But that's all I can tell you without giving away too much.

I've Been Tagged!

Ok. I've been tagged by the Great Pretender, so here's my list of

Six Weird Things About Me

1. I LOVE peanut butter and banana sandwiches!

(Are there any others out there who do too? C'mon, let me see a show of hands.)

2. I always sneeze in threes.

(My dad does too...guess that's where I get it.)

3. I always have to visit the restroom immediately before getting into bed. No exceptions.

(Otherwise, I have to get up again about a half hour later.)

4. I can't stand the smell of wintergreen...either candy or gum...it makes me think of Pepto-Bismol, which makes me gag.

(ICK!)

5. I can't just sit and watch television. I have to be doing something.

(Which usually means I'm knitting, crocheting, or some other crafty thing.)

and finally

6. My favorite midnight snack is chocolate chips and peanut butter.

(Grab a handful of chips, a spoon and the peanut butter jar...mmm...M thinks I'm nuts!)

I suppose 5 responses is a good amount, so I'll post part two of my "quiz" this morning. I waited because I didn't want to spoil it for any late blog walkers last night. But first, my three items would be a knitting project (Meg, I can totally relate to your list! lol), a really thick book (probably my Jane Austen all-in-one), and my small pocket Bible. On a side note, it would take me a week of going through all of my patterns to find just the right knitting project to take and then would take a couple more days for me to make sure I had just the right yarn and all the "tools" I needed to work on it. I always take knitting with me no matter where we go...you always have some free time to knit!

Anyway, here's the second half of the "quiz":

The month is April. The year is 1912. The luxury cruise liner that you are travelling on is the USS Titanic.

In the wee hours of morning, you find yourself scrambling to get to the upper decks to safety. You can only bring ONE of the three items you brought from home with you.

Of the three original items you listed, what would you choose? Why?

I would grab my knitting project. Why? Because the Jane Austen book is replaceable. I can buy it anywhere. My pocket Bible is specifically for travelling. I would never bring my good study Bible...I would be afraid I would lose it somewhere. The knitting, however, is irreplaceable and represents a lot of time and prayer.
